The February 2020 meeting of Wine and Words Book Club was held at Linda’s. Everyone attended but Jodi. Linda served a delicious green salad with blood oranges and sliced almonds, topped with grilled salmon. The Citrus Salad Dressing and salmon sauce recipes are listed below as well as on the recipe page. Cindy made cheesecake and we all sang a raucous version of “Happy Birthday” to Linda.

Citrus Salad Dressing Recipe:
1/4 C.   O.J. Concentrate (do not dilute)
2 Tbsp. Maple Syrup
2 Tbsp. Dijon Mustard
1 Cup (more or less to taste) Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper to taste…..

Salmon Sauce:
Lemon Love dressing and salad dressing

We decided members may choose between Mudbound or Educated (or read both) for our April book selection.

We discussed the book for the month, Rules for Visiting and most members enjoyed the book. Several members shared there recent experiences about reconnecting with school friends. Jan did not like the book at all. She thought it was boring and not well written.

The next meeting of Wine and Words will be held on March 31, 2020, 5:30 pm, at Karen’s. The book for March is the Aviators Wife.
