September 2020

The Wine and Words Book Club Meeting at 4 PM on September 29, 2020 was a video chat meeting, since we are still not meeting in our homes due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Sandie set up the meeting using Microsoft Teams and sent everyone a link to join the meeting. The format worked fairly well, except those who joined on a browser could only see the person who was speaking, while those who had downloaded the MS Teams app could see everyone. Members who joined the meeting were Sandie, Cindy, Linda, and Karen.

We discussed the Moment of Lift, by Melinda Gates. It was generally liked by everyone, although some members are still not finished reading it.

The following books were read by members.

Karen –

Vanishing Half, Henna Artist, Truths We Hold, Too Much is Never Enough, Still Here, Pilgrimage, Olive Again, Little Fires Everywhere, Keeper of Lost Things, More Myself Journey, Girl White Gloves, Something Fishy in Italy, Good Talk

Linda – (Recommends the first two)
