The Wine and Words Book Club meeting for March was held at Pat’s. She served Pasta Roses and a similar recipe is at http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/ugc/u-pasta-roses-with-ham-and-fontina/. Pat recommends DeDecco wide Lasagna noodles, cooked, rolled and then cut in half prior to lining up in the pan. She doubled the sauce recipe. It was accompanied by a green salad with Sicilian Lemon balsamic vinegar and Whole Fruit Blood Orange Olive Oil from Drizzle in Fairhaven. Both were delicious.

Ann recommended Shakespeare Saved my Life, Laura Bates

Cindy recommended Vampires in the Lemon Grove, a collection of short stories. The one in particular she loved was the one about presidents reincarnated as houses.

Pat recommended…Great Performances…the Mark Morris Dance Group.

A member also recommended Ken Burns’ Cancer 3-part series on PBS.

Sandie recommended Walking Dead. LOL

Book for the month Gillead – Pat really enjoyed the story of a minister who lost his wife. He was a very gentle man. Several other members reported they haven’t yet finished the book.

Kay visited Walla Walla and her favorite wine tasting was at the Trio wine tasting room.

The next meeting is on April 28th at 5:30 PM. The meeting is at Kay’s and Ann will be providing dessert.
