There were five of us at the meeting at Jan’s and we started out chatting about friends and relatives in care facilities, then ended up talking about the latest developments in our government. Somewhere in the middle we discussed our book for the month, The Premonition, by Michael Lewis. Members enjoyed reading about the events that brought a group of scientific minds together in the years prior to the Covid pandemic. Sandie said she couldn’t recall the ending and someone said, “That’s because there wasn’t one.” We all got a good laugh at that.
Karen read and enjoyed Be Ready When Luck Happens, by Ina Garten and Jan is enjoying Tisha, our book for April.
The next meeting is at Cindy’s on Tuesday, March 25, 4:30pm. The book for March is James, by Percival Everett.
