Book Club Meeting Tuesday Feb. 24th.

Attending: Kay, Cindy, Linda ( we are dwindling!).

We missed you ALL…….

We had a great meeting and fun appetizers at On Rice Barkley.

We actually did talk about the book “Solito”. The consensus was it was hard to read because of the subject matter.

We enjoyed the “journey” of the book and the writing was good.  Kay had an interesting thought, what would the book be like if it were written about an adult journey instead of a child? Something to think about.

The book for March is “Hamnet”.

Cindy said she went to see Isabel Wilkerson speak about her books “Cast” and “Warmth of a Thousand Suns”.

We had a discussion about Cast systems in various countries around the world. The books sounded very interesting.

We celebrated Linda’s birthday with a dessert brought by Kay. Very fun! A good time was had by all.
